You get it, right?
Because you are reading this right now means you already get it. We are officially in the digital age. You already get the fact that computers and the Internet are essential tools for success today.

Those who use computers and the Internet effectively will be successful and have the best chance of creating wealth in the 21st century. Even the baby boomer generation is being dragged into the digital age (some kicking and screaming!) just so they can stay with the times and be successful.
Successful people make their
computer an asset, not a liability.
Savvy business professionals understand that technology is a key part of success. They are smart enough to make sure their computer doesn’t slow them down, waste their precious time, and get in the way of their success.

Computer problems, security threats, and the seemingly endless hassles with always changing technologies can get in the way of success – but only if you let it!
Smart people let the experts
take care of it for them.
It just makes sense to let trained experts take care of your computer for you, to eliminate all the headaches and hassles, so you can focus on what’s most important.

#1 - Wasted Time.
Time is money, right? That statement has never been more true than today when every minute counts in business and in family life. So, any time you waste dealing with computer troubles is LOST OPPORTUNITY, and LOST MONEY.

"The average person wastes over 12 hours a month
dealing with computer problems." (Consumer Reports)

The question is – how much is YOUR time worth? If you are wasting time with a slow computer, slow Internet, and programs that don’t work, system crashes or other hassles, then your computer is COSTING YOU BIG TIME.

The good news is, if you just take care of your computer, maintain it properly, and keep it free of viruses, spyware and other infections, your computer can stay reliable and running like new. A well maintained computer can free up HUNDREDS of extra hours of your time each year. That’s valuable extra time you can use to make more money and find greater success!
#2 - Wasted Money.
Had your computer repaired lately? Then you know. It can cost a fortune to get your computer fixed. And it always happens at the worst moment – when you need it fixed now.

Kind of feels like extortion, doesn’t it? You buy a new computer, and within a few months it starts to slow down and begins acting up. It quickly gets infected with all kinds of nasty things.

So you seek out help. You try calling a software company – maybe Norton or McAfee… and they’ll take care of you for just $2.99 a minute. Wow! That could get expensive. You call the local geeks, and finally accept that you’ll have to give up your computer for a few days and end up paying a couple hundred bucks to get your machine back in working order. (And this could happen a few times a year!!!)

Your computer doesn’t have to be a money pit. Proper maintenance, good protection, and regular checkups will SAVE YOU BIG MONEY over time. Smart, huh?

#3 - Lost Files and Information.
What would it cost you if you lost everything on your hard drive? When your computer starts acting up, those are signs that your computer is having problems and that you are vulnerable to losing important files, business and client information, and more.

Computers are like cars, if you don’t take care of it, you’ll ultimately blow an engine, and you are out of luck. That’s a nightmare you don’t ever want to go through. It’s almost impossible to recover from such a disaster.

The potential cost to you in lost time, work and money? Um, well… BIG.
#4 - You could be held LIABLE
for security breaches on your computer!
Own a business?
Independent contractor?
Keep customer records?
Use a computer and the Internet?
You’d better be WELL PROTECTED.

YOU COULD BE HELD RESPONSIBLE if you don’t properly protect your computers and you get hacked. If you are serious about doing business today, you have to make security one of your priorities.

There are many new Federal and State laws, and other data security standards being enforced (Red Flag compliance, Sarbanes Oxley, Graham Leach Bliley Act, HIPAA) and a several new ones on the way that hold businesses liable for the protection of their customer’s private information.

Here’s just a couple you should be aware of:

FTC’s “Red Flag” Identity Theft Compliance
With identity theft now the fastest growing crime in the 21st century, the Federal Trade Commission now requires ALL businesses who collect and store personal information, send invoices, about their customers to PROPERLY PROTECT their customers against identity theft.

The penalty? A $3,500 FINE per customer name leaked or stolen from you!!! Just 10 customer records stolen by an identity thief from you could cost you $35,000 in fines.

It’s the digital age. Identity theft from businesses is a BIG problem, and if you are in business, you’d better take this seriously. The federal government is.

GLBA Compliance (Sarbanes Oxley)
The Graham Leach Bliley Act requires all financial institutions such as banks and credit unions, and related businesses who hold or process personal financial information (such as accountants, insurance agents, real estate and mortgage professionals) to take adequate measures to protect their client’s personal information.

Best practices for GLBA compliance can be as simple as having professional data security systems, regular security checkups and a written plan for protecting customer information online and offline.

PCI Compliance
The major credit card companies (VISA, Mastercard, Discover, etc.) and new laws in many states are now enforcing the protection of customer credit card information.

So, if you are in business, and you process credit card orders (online or offline), you must now take adequate steps to protect your customer’s personal information.

The newest security standard is called Personal Card Information Data Security Standard (PCI for short). This is a set of requirements designed to ensure that ALL companies, and or individuals that process, store or transmit credit card information maintain a secure environment.

You must now guard your customer’s credit card order information – and keep the bad guys from getting to it through you! PCI Compliance applies to ALL organizations, businesses, individuals or merchants, regardless of size or number of transactions, that accepts, transmits or stores any credit/debit cardholder data.
